"To me true wellness is the ability to come back after you fall off track, to be balanced in your thinking and understand that health is not about a 200m sprint but about lifelong skills and lessons learnt."

Women's Health Brisbane | Reformer Pilates

Come and join one of our baby friendly classes, with all our classes run by our team of exercise physiologists and eligible for health care rebates. Prior to your first class we ask you to attend a prescreen appointment with one of our Exercise Physiologists. This allows us to document any relevant medical history, see how your body is moving and work with you on the equipment so you feel confident and comfortable in class.

Mums & Bubs Classes

Our Mums and Bubs Reformer Pilates class has a focus on core strength to help you safely recover after pregnancy and return to exercise. This class is run using the Pilates reformer. The classes are baby friendly and suitable for women with babies roughly aged 10 weeks to 10 months (not yet crawling). Our Mums & Bubs Reformer classes are held in our Reformer Studio, with a maximum of 8 people.
Mums & Bubs Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need an assessment prior to attending a mums & bubs class?
Please attend an assessment if you had a traumatic birth, more than 3 fingers abdominal separation, new to reformer Pilates or been diagnosed with pelvic floor dysfunction.
Can I bring a pram?
We have a set of stairs leading up to the reformer studio, therefore a pram is not ideal. Bring a mat or a rocker for bubba.
My baby is clingy, what should I do?
We do what we can to cater for clingy babies. We can't always guarantee that there will be spare hands to help with a crying bubba, but quite often have prac students and other teachers that can lend a hand.
I have abdominal separation, is your classes safe?
A degree of abdominal separation is very normal for a new mum. If you have more than 3 fingers abdominal separation, or unsure if you have abdominal separation - we recommend you book in for an Initial Assessment. We can assess and let you know measures to take to ensure you are safe in our classes.
