Gain clarity on exactly how to best restore your core and pelvic floor strength after your birth. Whether you have had a c-section, vaginal delivery or perineal tears, feel safe in the hands of a professional women’s health exercise physiologist.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

  • Your initial consultation can be done via Zoom or in studio. Bubs welcome. This consultation is very different to the clearance you may have received from your Physio. We will discuss your body in relation to movement. This is a time to be educated about how the pelvic floor behaves during movement, and what movement will be best for your postnatal journey. We can assess any abdominal separation, educate in regard to how to rehabilitate it and also put your mind at ease with any issues you may feel are presenting in your body.

  • Our mums and bubs classes are on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 11:15am, 10:30am and 10:15am. There are a maximum of 8 people per class. We normally recommend bringing a rocker. Your bub will be able to be next to you for the entire class (we have mats next to reformers). We all know and understand that moving with a bub can be a challenge, so we do what we can to help out. We expect babies to cry, so will always have movements up our sleeve that you can do holding bub. We recommend just taking each session as they present themselves. It might be an awesome session with a sleeping bub, it might be interrupted. We will help you make the most out of your time in the studio.

  • We know not everyone is able to do movement at home. Please ask us if you would like some individually prescribed movements to do at home.

Mums + Bubs Group Reformer

Wednesdays 10:30am & Fridays 10:30am.

Please note - if you are only able to attend one of these timeslots, we are happy to extend the program to 12 weeks to ensure you can use your allocated classes.

Get back into movement with bub only an arm length away. Our group reformer studio is a large space with enough room for you and bub next to your reformer on a mat. Don’t stress, we know babies cry and will do whatever we can to ensure you have a good session! Learn from Women’s Health Accredited Exercise Physiologists, and get back into the groove with some fundamental movement.

Initial Assessments

In studio or via Zoom (Telehealth)

Your 6 Week Program includes an initial assessment which is mandatory before starting our Mums + Bubs Classes. Your initial assessment is very different to your physio assessment, as we assess how you move, your breathing mechanics and educate about pressure management strategies to ensure you recover your core and pelvic floor to reduce potential pelvic health concerns in the future.

We highly recommend 1:1 Exercise Physiology Consultations for those women that present with pelvic health issues postpartum. We will also analyse your movement, and if we think you are at risk of placing too much demand on your pelvic floor and abdominal wall in our mums & bubs group reformer classes, and require tailored education to assist you along your journey we will let you know.
