Our Accredited Exercise Physiologists are specialists in Women’s Health and are available for assessments, private consultations and group classes. 

Pre & Post Natal Pilates

The female body experiences many changes during pregnancy and in the postpartum period. It is not uncommon to experience symptoms of a weakened core and the loss of strength  through your pelvic floor. You will also experience postural aches and pains, changes to your posture (how your pelvis is positioned) and ligamentous laxity and general fatigue. Pre & Post Natal Pilates with a women's health Exercise Physiologist is one of the best ways to develop pelvic floor strength, move your body to increase energy, stretch and strengthen muscles to assist with postural pain and discomfort. Doing exercises that are designed for your body will assist in decreasing incidences of lower back pain, pelvic pain, incontinence and prolapse. 

The right exercises can be a safe and effective tool in supporting your body through pregnancy. If you wish to start Reformer Pilates as part of your pregnancy journey please book in an Initial Assessment with one of our Accredited Exercise Physiologists. 

Mums & Bubs Classes

Come and join one of our baby and children friendly classes, with all our classes run by our team of exercise physiologists and   eligible for health care rebates.

Prior to your first class we ask you to attend a prescreen appointment with one of our Exercise Physiologists. This allows us to document any relevant medical history, see how your body is moving and work with you on the equipment so you feel confident and comfortable in class.

1 in 3 Women 1  will experience diastasis recti postpartum, and research shows that without rehabilitative intervention, the gap between your abdominal muscles & weakness in your abdominal wall will not get better.

The good news is that appropriate exercise interventions can greatly assist in rehabilitating your abdominal separation. Visit our team who are specialists in postnatal rehabilitation for assistance in diastasis recti rehabilitation program for in the studio & at home.

Pregnancy Guidelines

All pregnant clients (existing and new) need to undertake an Initial Assessment prior to attending any classes within the any.BODY Studio space.

0 – 15 Weeks

During this stage of your pregnancy you can attend our Group Reformer Classes. We do however look at each person as an individual and may advise you that it would be best for you to not participate in these classes. Your Women’s Health Accredited Exercise Physiologist will support you through this process. There are exercises that are contraindicated during this phase of your pregnancy however we will be able to modify in our group classes.

 16 Weeks – End of Pregnancy

It is at this point we will review your status and then move you into our Women’s Health Specific classes. Our Women’s Health Specific classes will give you a chance to focus more holistically on exercises that will support you through the later stages of pregnancy.

We are here to support you throughout your pregnancy. We will aim to provide you with much more than just an exercise session. There are many tools that we aim to teach you that can assist you throughout your pregnancy, labour and through your post natal phase.
