Reformer Pilates

If you are a beginner to reformer pilates you might need a short orientation prior to your first class. Please don't hesitate to contact Elle directly prior to your first class if you feel like you might require hands on attention. With only 6 Reformers at any.BODY Studio, Elle ensures that beginners are looked after, educated providing various levels and modifications to challenge beginners through to advanced. 

 

Foundation Reformer (Beginner)

Foundation Reformer is designed to teach you the fundamentals of Pilates on the Reformer bed. Engage in exercises that require less coordination so you can learn to engage key muscle groups, correct breathing and most of all explore how to move your mind and body as one to get a great full body workout! Ideal for beginners who don’t have injuries, those who have had a break from Pilates and just getting back into it or anyone who just wants to focus on the basics! You do not need to be a beginner to benefit from this class.

Intermediate Flow Reformer


45 mins

This is an open level class that keeps a great flow therefore requires more coordination, control and endurance. Work seamlessly from intense strength exercises to dynamic movements that stretch your body, flowing into long holds and pulses. You’ll feel lengthened and toned from head to toe using classical and modern pilates exercises..Ideal for those wanting a full body workout with the balance of fluid stretch sequences throughout the class, and the increased intensity of long holds and added props to challenge you!

These classes are fitness based classes run by Diploma Qualified Pilates Instructors and are not claimable on private health insurance. 

HIIT/Jumpboard
(Not suitable for beginners)

Be ready to feel the heat in this full body workout! Be ready to challenge your endurance, strength and stability. Remember you can only find power in your Pilates practice if you also know how to find the calm, so make sure you have worked your way up to this class.

The jump board is an amazing add on to the Reformer that allows you to get the sensation of jumping whilst lying down or kneeling. 

PLEASE NOTE: Recommended to have attended minimum 5 x group reformer classes. In good general health, fit and free of injury or pregnancy. If you have any lower leg injuries, please chat to Elle before booking into this class.



BoxFit Circuit

The BoxFit Circuit is for those that are looking to increase their heart rates and sweat! Consisting of a circuit of functional exercises utilising equipment such as the Pilates Reformer, Pilates Baby Arc, Bosu, Foam Rollers, Hand Weights and also body weight exercises. Each class can be different, however you will always partner up to do some fitness boxing. New combos, fun and fast.

All levels welcome.

 

Clinical Conditioning Class (Beginner)

A beginner small group Reformer Pilates Class that offers multiple levels for beginners to advanced. It is run by either an Accredited Exercise Physiologist or Accredited Physiotherapist with classes being claimable on Private Health Insurance. The classes will focus on strengthening through your primary muscles, working on stability through your joints and finding length through your muscles. All levels are welcome as exercises will be individualised for all levels. 

Clinical Conditioning:
Over 50’s

A small group Reformer Pilates Class for the over 50's population. This class will still be challenging however it will offer multiple levels and run at a slower pace. It is run by either an Accredited Exercise Physiologist or Accredited Physiotherapist with classes being claimable on Private Health Insurance.The classes will focus on strengthening through your primary muscles, working on stability through your joints and finding length through your muscles. All ages are welcome as exercises will be individualised for everyone.

Clinical Conditioning:
Glutes & Core

A small group Reformer Pilates Class for all levels. It is run by either an Accredited Exercise Physiologist or Accredited Physiotherapist with classes being claimable on Private Health Insurance.The classes will focus on strengthening through spinal stabilisers working stability of your hips, knees and ankles. All levels are welcome as exercises will be individualised for all levels.

Clinical Conditioning:
Xpress

A small group Reformer Pilates Class for all levels for those that want to move at lunchtime. It is run by either an Accredited Exercise Physiologist or Accredited Physiotherapist with classes being claimable on Private Health Insurance. The classes will focus on strengthening back and core muscles and stretch through your hips and the back of your legs. Perfect for office workers and those short on time.

*Ongoing participation in Clinical Conditioning classes require 6 monthly reviews with your chosen Physiotherapist or Exercise Physiologist if you wish to claim on your private health insurance.
