It is no secret that Reformer Pilates can be looked as a ‘feminine’ form of exercise. Most Pilates studios market to appeal to women but there is no reason why men should not be using Reformer Pilates to manage injuries, mange their flexibility, build their core strength and improve their posture. In the sporting world Reformer Pilates is a go to method by athletes to ensure their training is varied as these athletes can target weaknesses within their bodies to ensure they reduce injuries throughout their careers. A few names of elite athletes using Pilates in their training is; Tennis World #1 – Andy Murray, 2016 World Rugby Player of the Year – Beauden Barrett, Cowboys/Maroons/Australian Rugby League legend – Jonathan Thurston, 3x World Surfing Champion and Great White puncher – Mick Fanning, the list goes on… seriously; Tiger Woods, Lebron James, Eamon Sullivan…

Pilates is good for all men, both young and old, regardless of your current athletic abilities. Issues that most men grapple with – whether they realise it or not – are poor posture, a compressed spine, decreased vitality, a thick waistline, and a general lack of understanding about their own physical bodies and how they best operate. Pilates provides an excellent solution to all these challenges.
