Join Accredited Exercise Physiologist Elle de Wet for a 5 Week Myofascial Stretch Release Course specifically targeting problem areas in the body. Using myofascial stretches, balls, bands, bolsters and rollers come and educate yourself on specific techniques to use to release tightness in your body. Enjoy a 1hr session and relax as Elle guides you through stretches and movements that will leave you feeling amazing.

Myofascia, pronounced "my o faashaa", is the dense tough tissue that surrounds and covers all your muscles and bones. Under a microscope, it resembles a spider web or fish net. When we stop moving, this tissue toughens and sticks together (ewww!). The movement found in pilates is one way of preventing this stiffness developing but the stiffness can penetrate so deep that additional therapy is required. Adding therapy balls, rollers, bolsters and specific stretches allows us to target parts of our bodies that are naturally rigid and therefore difficult to reach in our Pilates practice alone - it is in this combined approach that lasting release can occur!
